While vacationing at a friends cottage in the Thousand Islands (on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario, Canada) I woke up at 5:30am (yes, while on vacation) to shoot the fog rolling out of the picturesque harbour. I'll do anything for a great photo op, and mother nature waits for no one. Within half an hour it had come and gone, and as usual was worth the effort. (brighter yellow/green pics were taken closer to 6am). Sometimes, the best things in life are in our own backyard!

THOUSAND ISLAND PHOTO SHOOT

Stunning photos! I've come to the conclusion that I'm going to have to drag myself out of bed early sometime soon to catch some of those early morning mist shots. yawn!
